Deepali is the Founder and Chief Formulator of SVA. Motivated by an interest in traditional beauty practices and natural ingredients, she thoroughly explored the scientific principles underlying them. In 2015, she initiated a comprehensive research project focused on naturally covering grey hair. With a background in science and a strong interest in botanical herbs & their chemistry, Deepali experimented with various plant powders and natural ingredients to address her own grey hair concerns. To further enhance her expertise in cosmetic product development, she completed a Diploma in Organic Cosmetic Formulations from the award winning cosmetic school- Formula Botanica, UK. Leveraging her knowledge in product formulation and her in-depth understanding of botanicals, Deepali successfully developed her first 100% plant-based hair dye in 2018. Following rigorous product testing and trials, she introduced the range of plant-based hair products to the Singapore market in March 2020.
